The connection to bees is a beautiful reminder that just as honey nourishes and brings sweetness, our words have the power to encourage, heal, teach, and lead others closer to God.
Today, our conversations, text messages, emails, and social media posts all leave an impact. St. Ambrose and St. Bernard challenge us to consider how we use our voices each day.
Key Takeaways:
– Our words have the power to build others up or tear them down.
– Kindness, truth, and encouragement can draw people closer to Christ.
– We are called to use our voices to reflect God’s love.
– Even small conversations can leave a lasting impact.
Saintly Summer – Full. Text
Hi everyone. I was wondering how much impact our words have on the life of others and let me tell you a little bit about St. Ambrose, St. Ambrose and St. Bernard. These are the two patron saints of beekeepers. And according to traditions when Ambrose when he was just a baby, a swarm of bees landed on him without harming him instead, they filled his mouth with honey and this miracle was seen later as sign that one day his words would be, you know, like honey. Now on the other hand, we have St. Bernard he was known for his deep love for Christ. And for his wonderful preaching. His words were so inspiring and full of wisdom that he became known as the honey-sweet doctor. And I love this connection with bees because you know they produce honey which is something sweet that nourishes others and that is exactly what these two saints did through their words. They used their voices to encourage, to teach, to heal, and to lead others to God. And I think we should do the same today. You know, every day through our conversations, our text messages our social media posts, we can either spread kindness, love, encouragement, truth, or we can spread just negativity. And maybe that’s the question these two saints have for us today, are your words and mind making the life of others and the world a little sweeter, or a little bitter. St. Ambrose and St. Bernard the patron saints of beekeepers, pray for us.
