Halloween is often associated with the spooky and macabre, but did you know its roots are deeply Christian? In this video, we explore the origins of Halloween as “All Hallows’ Eve”—the night before All Saints’ Day. From twelve-foot skeletons to jack-o’-lanterns, Halloween has evolved into a major event, but its beginnings were a way for Christians to reflect on the light of faith. We’ll discuss which aspects of Halloween align with Christian values, uncover the symbolism behind traditions like the jack-o’-lantern, and explain how Halloween can serve as a reminder of the hope and light we bring to the world. Join us as we reclaim the spiritual origins of Halloween and keep our minds focused on the world to come.
