Prayer for Western Maryland
Please Join Us in Supporting Flood Relief Efforts in Western Maryland
Our hearts are with the communities of Western Maryland—especially Divine Mercy Parish—as they recover from the devastating floods that swept through the region earlier this week. Torrential rains caused severe damage to homes, businesses, and churches, including St. Gabriel in Barton and St. Peter in Westernport. Despite sustaining damage, the St. Peter campus has become a vital hub for first responders and relief efforts. Divine Mercy Parish continues to serve as a beacon of hope, offering support to those who have lost so much.
We’re inviting our parish community at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor to help in this urgent time of need.
Almighty God, we ask for your comfort and strength for all those affected by the recent floods. Protect their lives and homes, and heal their broken spirits. We pray for strength for those who are working to rescue and rebuild, and for the courage to face the challenges ahead. May your grace and peace surround us all, and may your hope rise out of this tragedy.
Amen.
