Cancer Support Group
The Cancer Support Group – May 3 – 6:30 PM – St. Joseph
The Cancer Support Group for the pastorate meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at St. Joseph at 6:30 PM. This group is for anyone touched by the disease – a loved one, caretaker, or other who may be looking for someone they can relate to, someone who may have a similar cancer experience, or an opportunity just to talk and share feelings. Support groups can help fill that void. It’s a place to find “comfort and joy”. We have guest speakers lined up in May, June and September. We have a change to the guest speaker on May 3rd. Rachel Anne Warren of Frederick Wig Company will be joining us to provide insight on wigs and grooming for people dealing with the effects of chemotherapy or alopecia. Rachel is professionally trained and has had alopecia for twenty years. She knows first-hand how hair loss can affect a person. If you or someone you know are interested in attending, please feel free to drop in. If you would like more information, please contact Donna Fox – call, text, or email: 301-641-4431/dmf042945@yahoo.com. This truly is a support group! Donna is available to assist with any questions or concerns you might have about the group.
