In our journey of faith and grappling with spiritual realities, one aspect that resonates with many of us is the mountain top experiences. Just like in scripture, these are those awe-inspiring moments when we feel incredibly close to God, much like the transfiguration of Jesus before his crucifixion. While we know these experiences aren’t an everyday occurrence, we must hold onto them tightly. They become our anchor in the valleys, the difficult times that are inevitably part of life. Just as the apostles clung to what they saw on the mountain during the transfiguration to navigate the challenges of the cross, we too must cling to our own mountaintop encounters with God. These experiences sustain us through dry spells, hardships, and the dark nights we may face.
