Don’t Miss This Gift: Divine Mercy Sunday | Jolt of Faith+| 4/9/26

This Easter week, we’re invited into something powerful: the gift of Divine Mercy.

From the pierced side of Christ, mercy continues to pour out—freely given, endlessly offered, and deeply needed. And it’s no coincidence that the Sunday after Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday.

In this short reflection, we’re reminded:

God’s mercy is always available

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a true source of healing

We’re called to draw closer to the Heart of Christ and live in the new life He offers

This isn’t a homily—just a quick jolt of faith to refocus our hearts this Easter season.

On this Easter week, as we prepare to celebrate the great gift of Divine Mercy, the gift of Jesus’ Mercy, that is given to us by the Risen Christ. You know, Divine Mercy, Sunday is such a Powerhouse for us because from his pierced side Jesus continues to pour out that gift of mercy and as sinners, we need that. And it is no coincidence that the Sunday after Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday. When we hear in the Gospel institute the sacrament of reconciliation, that font of Mercy that is always open to us. So my friends, as we continue our celebration of the Easter season and in particular our celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday, take advantage of that gift of Divine Mercy by going to reconciliation, take advantage of that gift by asking for God’s Mercy, take advantage of that gift by recognizing the call for all of us to draw closer to Christ’s Sacred Heart, So we can be cleansed of our sins and start living in that new life, He gives us as the Risen Lord, not a sermon, not a homily, just that little Jolt of Faith to remind us all.
