Different Styles of Prayer: Seeing Jesus Through Mary’s Eyes | Jolt of Faith 10/16

In our last few videos, we talked about different types of prayer, gratitude, intercession, petition I want to spend in the next few videos, talking about different styles of prayer that we have as Catholic Christians. October is the month of the Rosary. So, it’s a great time to rediscover that prayer. We all probably learned as kids, but that should be an integral part of our lives.Because the rosary is a great form of meditatingon those mysteries of our salvation.Pope Benedict, the 16th once said that, when we praythe rosary, it’s like sitting with Mary looking at the picture book of Jesus’ lifeand we see Jesus’ life through the eyes of Mary His mother. And as we meditate on the different mysteries,we grow closer to Jesus by seeing Him through the person who loved Him most which was Mary, His mother. If we’re not praying the rosary on a regular basis,October we great time to try to integrate that into our prayer timeas a great way that by meditating on what Jesus has done for us,we can draw closer to Him. Not a homily, not a sermon. Just a little Jolt of Faith to give us what we need.
